Factors To Consider
Campaign themes
The ten-year plan is a specific activity as opposed to Bikers are
Voters which aims to influence overall policy on a number of areas.
The 'immediate' letter writing campaign should concentrate on the
ten-year plan and use the single page version that can be downloaded
here. Unfortunately, due to MPs summer recess and Party Conference
season, little would be achieved by BAV letters at this point. This
should be kicked off with a vengeance during Mid October. The intervening
time should be used to highlight the forthcoming offensive (the
joint activity with BMF and MCI is part of this).
Activity at Party Conferences Will involve Phil Neale, Trevor Magner and Craig Carey-Clinch. This will take place in both conferences at the MCI stand. The event will be geared towards awareness raising among party members and activists, contact building and photo opportunities. Press opportunities need to be verified with conference organisers.
Local Direct Action To involve local activities with MPs, complemented by stunts or other activities as deemed suitable by local / regional reps. We aim to make our case clear to constituency MPs - we want a better deal! All activities should be co-ordinated through the Reps Liaison Officer. Our aim here is the generation of a total blizzard of Parliamentary Questions in the House.
