SCOOTERS TARGETED IN SAFETY DRIVE
A road safety scheme for motorcyclists in London is being extended to riders of scooters. ScooterSafe, run by Transport for London (TfL) and The Metropolitan Police, will target riders of machines under 250cc.
It will be tailored towards riding on city roads.
A scooter rider is killed or seriously injured every day on London's roads and make up almost half of all motorcycle accidents in the city, said TfL.
