Annual Group Conference

You will by now have received a booklet inviting you to attend the 2001 Annual Group Conference at Benn Hall, Rugby, 27th October 2001. All MAG affiliated clubs, corporate supporters and, of course, local group reps and individual are warmly invited to attend.

For the more hardy of you camping has now been arranged behind the Riverside Club with a nominal charge of £2 to cover arrangements. Otherwise there is a list of local accommodation in the booklet. Please inform us at Central before 20th October if you wish to camp. If there is not enough advance interest this option will not be available - so please book it if you plan to attend!

The fare-pool plan makes it possible for every local MAG group to send two delegates to the AGC at a reasonable cost. Please make an effort to ensure your group is represented. Here is a short summary of what you do:

* Send a cheque for £50 to your Regional Rep from your local group funds for the fare pool. He or she is responsible for collecting the monies due and passing them to Central Office.

* Please note that this levy was agreed at the AGC in 1997, the money being redistributed to equalise travelling costs so far as is reasonably possible.

* We need this money at Central immediately. If you have not yet paid you are overdue! (You will get some back anyway - see below.)

* Complete the claim form already provided on booklet page 11 so that your travelling costs can be subsidised from the fare pool.

* Book your camping or hotel using the forms supplied.

* Turn up, participate and enjoy yourself.
