EAST ANGLIA REGION AGM, NORFOLK MAG AGM, WEST NORFOLK AGM

ALL HELD ON 14 SEPTEMBER 2005

Highlight of the evening was Bury St Edmunds MAG presenting a cheque for £1,500, this being the second donation this year amounting to a total donation of £2,500 to MAG funds.

Local Rep - Herb, assisted by Deputy Rep – Pete Brightley, took over from Pete Streeton when he moved away from the area and so far this year the Group has run The Mad Cow Rally, Easter Egg Run, The Summer Party, with a Pet Food Run and Halloween Party yet to come. Tina Brightley took on the task of setting up and running the Bury MAG website.

Many thanks also go out to Murray Webb – Eastern Regional Rep for attending as NC Observer.

Election Results: Regional AGM

Regional Rep. - Shan Tedder was re-elected

Val (AKA Selina) Lavender's proposal that the 2006 Regional AGM should be held at Bury St Edmunds MAG's venue was unanimously agreed.

Norfolk MAG - Local Rep - Richard Clarke has sadly decided to stand down. A vote of thanks was given for his efforts over the years. but Richard will remain as Political Officer for the Norwich area and is currently liaising on the Norwich Bike Park issue.

A Local Rep for the Norwich area is still being sought to set up a new Group but Norfolk MAG is now sadly a non functioning Group.

West Norfolk MAG, formed in January 2005, is going from strength to strength. Local Rep - Val Taylor was re-elected, together with Deputy Rep - Pete Hoare.

The Group has been very active this year both within the Region and over the 'borders'. Supporting many events with a Group attendance, a trip to France, and donations made to a local Charity and the Farmyard Marshals’ Flood Appeal. Val has designed the Group logo which is about to go into production, and is Editor of the Group Newsletter.

Steve Reddington has now added Webmaster to his vast skills and set up the Group website http://west-norfolk.mag-uk.org
