 Med Hughes: Prize Buffoon

nov07pic1
According to reports, Med Hughes, Chief Constable of South Yorkshire has been caught driving at 90mph in a 60mph speed limit. Ironically, Mr Hughes is also head of the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) Roads policing committee and an arch speed camera advocate.

Driving at 90mph in a 60mph speed limit is above the threshold at which the Magistrates Association recommends disqualification.

This then raises the question: Was Mr Hughes causing a danger to the public?

Given his training and position, we can be quite confident that he was not.

Therefore he can be challenged to admit that the speed limit itself cannot define the point at which a speed becomes dangerously fast.

Mr Hughes is clearly a complete hypocrite and should resign, both from the ACPO road safety committee and from his office as Chief Constable of South Yorkshire.

He has brought the entire Police service into disrepute. How can the public have confidence in such a complete buffoon?

Mr Hughes should also be given a taste of his own medicine and banned from driving.

And, no public money should pay for a chauffeur.
