Here is the text of my next 'Words_from_the_Chair' article for StreetBiker. The purpose of giving you an advance copy is so that you know the background and are ready to go with the major campaign I am now planning against EVSC, to be implemented from June/July this year.

As you will see from the article, the first phase of this involves putting together a massive international petition using the Internet.

Once we announce this therefore, and launch the website, we need those of you with Internet facilities to drop an email to everyone you know asking them to visit the site and indicate their support on it. We'll make it easy by giving you a standard text to send.

Meanwhile, with the general election campaign now in progress, we have a golden opportunity to extract commitments against EVSC from Parliamentary candidates. Please therefore make every effort in this direction and let MAG Central know how you get on. We need to know which politicians are sympathetic and which are antipathetic to our cause.

Please be ready to run with this campaign. There can be nothing more fundamental to our enjoyment of motorcycling than our ability to exercise personal and independent control over our machines. That is what the assorted boffins, scientists and do-gooders are trying to take away from us.

Don't give them the chance.
