French Angry Biker Association Sues France

France, country of many motorcycles, has one thing in common. None of the motorcycles, no matter what manufacturer and model, has more than 100HP!

Even the biggest and fastest super sport motorcycle only has 100HP !!

Why ?

Because the government decided that it was safer for everyone to limit motorcycles to 100HP.

They think you'll not kill yourself that quickly than if you have 110HP, or even 160HP!

Of course all other European countries don't have this strange law, and they are allowed to ride in France with their 100+ HP motorcycles, so the logic escapes me.

The European Union is trying very hard to establish itself, and have uniform laws, rules & regulations, but this is one law that the French government does not want to change.

So the French Angry Biker Association (FFMC) is calling for all motorcyclists to sue the state collectively at the European Courts in Brussels for non-respect of European common law.

Under European law, what the French state are doing, is illegal.

The idea is nice, and makes a point, but it's totally useless... the French government will do whatever it thinks it needs to do for their own country/interests, and if it's against European rules, "temps pis".
