The Locations
Horncastle: is a market town in the centre of Lincolnshire’s Poacher Country with numerous accommodation options due to its’ fame as being voted Britain’s Best Antique Town.
A Roman town, the town is mainly a combination of 18th and 19th century buildings, one of which was home to William Marwood, the Public Executioner who perfected the “long drop” method of hanging through a trap door.
Known as the Gateway To The Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and an area of rolling hills, wherever you look your eye will be drawn by the huge skies that give a wonderful sense of freedom and space.
Woodhall Spa: is a wooded Spa town with a unique cinema and was the home of the 617 Dambusters Squadron.
It is also the home of the English Golfing Union and boasts a world ranking course but it’s the charm of the place that draws visitors year after year to the inland resort.
If you can stay over for longer than the day, Mid Lincs MAG will gladly point you in the direction of some roads known only to locals that will change your mind forever on the flatlands of Lincolnshire.
The Horncastle Golf & Country Club: at West Ashby is a small country club used regularly by both Mid Lincs MAG and other local and national motorcycle clubs.
The lounge area provides the settees and relaxation space that we all crave after an AGC and which entices Mid Lincs MAG members back time and time again.
For those who want to dance their pants off the separate hall gives everyone the best of both worlds.
