FROM NORTHEAST MAG: COPS BACK RIDE 2 WORK

Cleveland police are being praised for offering support to the National Ride to Work day on July 19, 2006.

The force contacted the local Motorcycle Action Group representative to suggest they would go out and acknowledge other motorcyclists on the day, but the plan has now grown to a demo ride starting from 7am and riding into Middlesborough for 8:30am with police marshals.

The idea has support from the Deputy Chief Constable who passed his Direct Access test last year.

This follows a recent initiative by Cleveland Police offering free Smart Water identification for trail bikes.

Exact details are to be confirmed, but for more details contact the MAG Middlesborough and Cleveland Rep on 07841-342745, or email paul.roberts@hotmail.
