HELP FIND THIS KILLER

LEFT TO DIE

Victim..Ron died on journey to work
By JOHN SCOTT
A NATIONWIDE hunt has been launched for a trucker who mowed down a scooter rider - and left him sprawled on a motorway to die.
Tragic Ron Cobbledick was hit by four other lorries and a van while the trucker continued on his trip - stopping only to pull Ron's smashed bike from under his rig.
Cops were not alerted until 30 minutes later when two motorcyclists saw his scooter beside the M40 in Warwickshire and started hunting for the rider.
By the time officers arrived, 43-year-old Ron's body was beyond recognition

PC John Townsend, a cop for 11 years, said; "I have seen some nasty things but never imagined anything as horrendous as this - even in my worst nightmare".
Horrified
Senior officers have launched a murder-style investigation and yesterday vowed to nail the callous trucker.
Chief Inspector David Barrett, of Warwickshire Police, said; "It beggars belief that somebody could knowingly abandon an obviously injured man on a motorway. We are determined to catch the person responsible - and we will".
He said the other drivers who had hit Ron had been traced - and had not realised what had happened because it was dark.
Computer expert Ron, a step-dad of five, was on his weekly Monday morning trip to London when he was killed near Tamworth in Arden at around 6:05am.
One M-way camera captured him driving in the slow-lane shortly before impact. It also filmed the artic 27 seconds behind him doing around 60mph.
Conscience
  The smash was not filmed
but calculations prove the lorry would have caught up with the bike at the exact spot of the collision just before junction 16. Passers-by also saw the trucker pulling the wrecked Piaggio 125cc scooter from under his lorry.
Tests established the bike, which had been doing between 35 and 40mph in very stormy weather, was upright when hit - proving Ron had not fallen off before being struck.
His scooter was dragged along for 200 yards before the trucker stopped.
Ron's distraught widow Audrey said; "I do not know how that trucker can live with his conscience. You would not leave a dog in the road like that, let alone a man.
Every day I think what that driver is doing. He must know he killed somebody yet he probably carries on as if nothing has happened."
Ron started commuting to London from his home in Waterfoot, Lancs, just under a year ago when the shoe firm he worked for relocated.
He stayed in lodgings at Slough, Berks, during the week and drove home on Fridays. Usually he rode a motorbike but that was being repaired on October 30th -

the day he died so he switched to his standby scooter.
His injuries were so severe forensic experts had to take fingerprints from his home to confirm his identity
Audrey said Ron commuted because he did not want to lose his job. And she added; "I was worried sick about his travelling and insisted he called me on reaching London."
"He loved to make people smile - and that wasn't hard with a surname like ours. He loved that name because it made people laugh".
Cops believe the trucker was driving a Volvo FL7 or FL10 artic with a red and blue cab and white box-type container on the back. It also had an illuminated sign below
