DFT CONTINUES TO BRIBE LOCAL AUTHORITIES OVER ROAD PRICING

In a document released by Department for Transport (DfT) [1] it is crystal clear that DfT wishes to bribe local authorities into road pricing schemes.

The late Paul Smith, of SafeSpeed.org.uk, said: "I guess bribery is their only option. No one wants road pricing except DfT. The public most certainly don't want it. It won't even cut congestion. When are we going to see the root and branch changes at DfT that are necessary to dismantle their 'failed policy machine'?"

DfT brought us a dangerous and incompetent speed camera policy. Now they are trying to force local authorities into a equally incompetent road pricing schemes."

"DfT is not fit for purpose."
