Excellent Job YORK MAG The 'One Night Stand Rally' run by York MAG is traditionally the party for all the marshals who work at the Farmyard Party and party they did. The rally raised £1000 for the Marshals Flood Appeal including proceeds from the splendid raffle and auction. Also a big thanks to the Halfway Heros MCC who donated £300 to the Flood Appeal. Pete Squires reflects on the weekend All run around waving arms and anything else at hand until hot and sticky.
The fact that the new site was much better was also rather jolly too. Proper toilets showers and the site had an on-suite pub (for he’s a jolly good fellow etc etc…) so The One Night Stand was on. The weather was booked, the band and D.J where told of the new site and that was that. On with the show. Or was it? The band did their stuff and Paul (the D.J.) Rutledge played all and everything to keep the baying hordes happy past the witching hour. Which was nice. Much ale was consumed over a short space of time by all but a few that where on duty, but they made up for it later. It was a chilled-out rally with top raffle prizes and an auction.
They had the misfortune to camp near the septic tank for the toilets! A lot of pie eating, burger munching, and beer drinking had beaten the septic tank into submission, and so it was going to wreck its revenge and reek it did over the low lands of the campsite. It was fine at the top, oh titter ye not... All in all a nice rally, and given the short notice well done to one and all and here’s to the next. And to all that worked it, well done. Job’s a good un. Thanks to Infinity Motorcycles York for donating the HJC Helmet and Hein Gericke York for the Tribal Jacket. Transit Motorcycles - York Suzuki Centre - Backstreet Heroes - 100% Biker - Street Fighter Magazine for various raffle prizes. |
