MAG IS SUPPORTING THE UNITY RIDE TO BE HELD IN LONDON ON 21 AUGUST

The ride is being organised by members of the www.thelondonbikers.com internet forum and is also supported by the Metropolitan Police.

The ride is aimed at showing unity with the people of London in defying terrorism.

From each of the five meeting points spread around London, riders will converge on the Inner Circle in Regent's Park.

From there, the Metropolitan Police will escort the run through central London, stopping at each site where the atrocities took place where wreaths will be laid.

The run will then proceed to City Hall where people will be able to sign the book of condolence and a minute's silence will be held.

Following the minute's silence, the ride will make its way to the Ace Cafe.

Once there, the event will finish with the ceremonial raising of the Cafe's flag, which has flown at half mast since July 7.

The five initial meeting points are The Ace Cafe; The Oakdene Cafe, Wrotham, Kent; High Beach, Epping; Box Hill, Surrey and London Colney off the M25 (Sainsbury's car park).

Times for these meetings have not yet been published, so allow ample time to the journey to the Inner Circle, Regent's Park.

The main ride will leave Regent's Park at 12:00 noon.

More details are available at the Unity Ride Website: www.unityride.co.uk

MAG's Greater London Regional Rep Gerard Livett said, 'We have all been affected, either directly or indirectly, by the events of July 7. MAG is happy to support this event which expresses the solidarity and support of the motorcycling community to the whole of London in standing united against terrorism.'
