Everyone likes to be made welcome and a great way to be made welcome at a MAG Branch or MAG affiliated Club as a new member is to be given your very own ‘New
Member Welcome Pack’.
The pack could contain such things as:
History and overview of what MAG is all about – the ‘MAG – What is all that about’
paper would be ideal.
History and overview of the local Branch – When the branch was formed, interesting milestones, details of the Branch Committee, structure of the Region in
which the branch sits etc.
Events list – include any organised and planned branch runs, events and visits, local MCC and other MAG branch events you plan to support, rallies to
be attended as a Branch and other major MAG or National motorcycle events.
Products list and order form – details of branch T Shirts, patches, stickers etc that may be available
to purchase.
Branch member and/or committee contact list, including email addresses and web site url’s (if applicable).
MAG Membership form (the important bit !!)
These do go down well with new members so it is worthwhile investing in a bit of photocopying.
Another good idea is to have a few appointed ‘Welcomers’.
These
members look out for new attendees and make a point of welcoming them into the fold, introducing them to the committee and other members etc etc.
