Insurance Campaign Progress so far …..

East Anglia Region:

Ian Bucknell - Regional Political Officer wrote to all of Norfolk and Suffolk MPs - No response or acknowledgement has been received from the following MP's

Norfolk County
North Norfolk Norman Lamb (Lib Dem)
Norwich South Rt Hon Charles Clarke (Labour)
South West Norfolk - Rt Hon Gillian Shephard (Conservative)

Suffolk County
Ipswich Chris Mole (Labour)
South Suffolk Tim Yeo (Conservative)
Suffolk Coastal Rt Hon John Gummer (Conservative)
Waveney Bob Blizzard (Labour)

We urge East Anglia Regional Members whose MP has not responded to contact their local MP.

The following responses have been received:

West Suffolk - Richard Spring MP(Conservative), has written to Trade and Industry Minister, Gerry Sutcliffe MP, enclosing the letter.

North West Norfolk - Henry Bellingham MP (Conservative) states that he will be taking up this matter with the Consumer Affairs Minister and goes on to say he will get back when he receives a response.

South Norfolk - Richard Bacon's MP (Conservative) - his secretary aknowledged reciept of the letter and says she will draw his attention to it.

Norwich North - Ian Gibson MP (Labour) replied

Bury St Edmunds - David Ruffly MP (Conservative)
has taken up this issue with David Jamieson, Transport Minister and is awaiting a reply, which he will forward on.

Mid Norfolk - Keith Simpson MP, (Conservative) is writing to the Minister concerned and will be back in touch.

Great Yarmouth -Anthony Wright MP (Labour), has written to David Jamieson on my behalf and will contact me again when he receives a response

Central Suffolk & North Ipswich Sir Michael Lord (DCWM) has passed it on to the Minister concerned and will forward the reply.
