I’ll start off with apologies for this issue of Network for overloading you with surveys and questionnaires to complete.
For too
long riders groups have relied on analysis of statistics gathered by other parties, which government uses to produce strategies for motorcycling.
MAG is turning the tide somewhat with support of
questionnaires on subjects from theft, rider's opinions on road safety, young pillions and parking.
MAG needs questions answered to get to the heart of facts and figures. Surveys and
questionnaires are not the glamorous side of motorcycling but for MAG to continue its successful lobbying and research they are a necessity."
Also in this issue Jan Hurley newly elected
National Clubs Liaison Officer has introduced herself and how the MAGMAX package for clubs can move forward. .
Talking with Jan and thoughts from a one make owners club we felt that clubs were
not being involved in consultations especially those of a technical issue.
Although individuals can join the info lists to receive information we felt we could be missing some experts out there
who could not only input on technical issues but rider opinions from clubs.
So as Jan has mentioned, “what do you have to do to be part of this new benefit? Let us know if you would prefer
us to use the person named on our database, who receives Network on your behalf, or a “technical” representative in your club, on-line, to be included”.
