Join the KillSpills Team London Rally

The Motorcycle Action Group is urging riders to join the Diesel KillSpills team as they ride through central London on the 11th September from the Ace Café.

The team has been campaigning to raise public awareness of diesel spills and educating drivers and riders as to the dangers of diesel spills with the aim to change legislation relating to diesel fuel tanks and cap design.

The organisers hope to attract over a thousand bikes to ride from the Ace Café to the Palace of Westminster, with an escort kindly provided by the Metropolitan Police.

Members of the KillSpills team, together with a couple of celebrities, MP's and supporters from Fast Bikes and Two Wheels Only magazines will continue to Downing Street to hand in the KillSpills petition.

You can let the team know you’re coming by emailing killspills@darrenbourne.co.uk

So if you're fed up with Diesel Spills or you want to improve road safety for riders and other road users, join the team in what could be the biggest bike rally London has seen since MAG's "Riders Rights Day" in the capital.

Notes:

Meet up at the Ace Café 11am, briefing from the police, 14 officers will escort the ride ensuring that all junctions are closed on the route so as to aid the progress of the ride. The ride will take up one lane of the carriage way onto the North Circular Road to Hangar Lane. Along the A40, West Way to Paddington, down Park Lane to Hyde Park Corner, Constitution Hill, Queen Victoria Memorial, the Mall, Trafalgar Square and down Whitehall. The bikes will park up at Milbank.

More information on the campaign, on line petition and other safety information can be found at: www.killspills.org.uk

MAG have been campaigning on this issue in the UK and Europe and fully support the initiative of the KillSpills campaigners.

Stickers bearing the "Diesel Spills Kill - Don't Over Fill - Secure Your Filler Cap" are available from MAG.
