MAG has thousands of Road Hazard Warning Cards available which concerned riders should post to local authorities when poor road surfaces, damage, or other
hazards are spotted. These are available from MAG Central Office and ensure that councils are made aware of any problems and fix them promptly. These cards should NOT be posted to MAG Central.
Doing
this ensures that councils are made aware of any problems and fix them promptly. If councils are then aware of problems, but fail to repair them, motorcyclists can more easily claim damages, if injury or damage
occurs from such defects.
MAG will shortly be running a specific national campaign to address the problems that manhole covers and service access covers present to two-wheel vehicle.
Anecdotal evidence of the effects current unsurfaced manhole cover design has on two-wheel vehicle users can be emailed to manholecovercampaign@blueyonder.co.uk
