Switzerland has cancelled their plans for an 80 khm (approx 50mph) speed limit for bikes!Different other points are still in discussion, but all points of discrimination on bikers are cancelled. Also the plans for general speed limits 70kph on normal streets/110kph on highways have been shelved. In detail what has been stopped - Technical limitation for bikes 80 kph- Limitation from 80kph to 70 kph on normal streets- Limitation from 120kph to 110 kph on highways - Age of 18 for >50ccm bikes (it's now 16)- Rising of fine's- Road Pricing- Obligation of 40 hours practical experience for new drivers (Car and Bike) - Automatic control systems such as digital black box- kg/PS limitation for new drivers (Car and Bike)- Vehicle influence: Controlling of the driving dynamics - Periodic repetition of the emergency first aid course- Increase insurance premium of the motor vehicle liability insurance after safety-relevant traffic rule injuries - Deeper insurance premiums for safe vehicles (bikes where not safe vehicles)- System change from the owner to the driver liability insuranceThere is now also more discussion about "Vision Zero", it's renamed in VESIPO (national road safety politic)There are still many point's in the paper which IG Motorrad are fighting against. So the fight goes on.
