Well finally it feels like spring is here, and I can't wait to get out and about on the CBR again. Just recently it seems that the only time my bike comes out of the garage is either for the 12 mile trip to Coventry for NC meetings, or Phil to borrow it for a PR stunt or MP photo shoot. (See front page of NEC Show Guide!)

The only motorcycle trips over 20 minutes that I have done recently are to London for the mass Lobby and two reconnaissance trips to Matlock in preparation for the Training weekend.

I am delighted to report that despite last minute worries that Derbyshire could be closed due to Foot & Mouth disease; the whole weekend ran very smoothly. Reports coming back to me from the Matlock attendees have all declared the weekend a complete success. It has been almost two years since we organised any training, but I think we can safely say that there will be at least one more weekend this year, and possibly some 'training days' around the regions. If your group has a local venue that would be suitable and is not going to charge an arm and a leg, 'phone or email me and together we could get something organised.

One of the great things about Matlock was meeting so many people that I had previously only spoken to on the 'phone or via email. Hopefully I will get the chance to meet many more of you this year, so if you see me out and about at a rally or some other gathering, please come up and introduce yourself.
