BikeWise Mini Bike Club has been formed…

Durham Police Motorcycle Section working in partnership with Durham County Council (Road Safety Dept.) and County Durham & Darlington Fire & Rescue Service has undergone training with the ACU Local Authority Support Unit and formed the BikeWise mini bike club.

This club will be officially launched mid April.

The club will give children between the age’s of six to sixteen the opportunity to be licensed by the ACU and lawfully ride their mini moto’s at events that we host.

(Parents must attend with their children).

Further details of the club & forthcoming events will be posted on this site in the near future

If anybody would like to be contacted when further details are known please complete the BikeWise Mini Bike Club contact form below and we will contact you in the near future.

Brilliant news about the mini bike club, hopefully this will help get youngsters safely interested in biking, and reduce some of the 'nuisance' use of off road bikes.

For years MAG (Motorcycle Action Group) has been campaigning for off road facilities for mini motos, and now they are starting to appear.

On behalf of Durham MAG may I offer our support for this scheme and wish it every success.

If you require any help with running or publicising this please feel free to contact me and all possible assistance will be forthcoming.

Cheers,

Robin.
